We compiled this list of COVID-19 Resources for LA of emergency food locations for those in need
Worker and Hunger Relief Actions:
▪ | The Street Vendor Emergency Relief Fund - a new fund created by our board chair Rudy Espinoza of Inclusive Action. This fund will provide direct cash assistance to vendors who are without income due to the sudden loss of their business. |
▪ | The LA Food Bank - The Food Bank is continuing to mobilize resources to help people who are in need of food assistance. If you are in need of food assistance, please dial 211 or visit their pantry locator. The Food Bank does not provide meals at their warehouse facilities. |
▪ | Food Forward - Food Forward staff and volunteers rescue surplus produce each week from fruit trees, farmers markets and the Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market and then take them to over 1,800 hunger relief agencies across 8 counties in Southern California. |
▪ | ONE FAIR WAGE — Emergency Coronavirus Tipped and Service Worker Support Fund - They are providing cash assistance to restaurant workers, car service drivers, delivery workers, personal service workers and more who need the money they aren’t getting to survive. You can donate or volunteer to help the millions of workers affected by the COVID-19 public health crisis. |
